Howdy - NJ1V here in Hempstead, Texas.

I am considering a move to the Charlotte, North Carolina area. I visited
there over the last couple of days, investigating some job related issues,
as well as a quick tour of the area to the south of town, primarily
bordering the South Carolina border.

I have a couple of questions that maybe some of you Tower-talkians could
help me with:

1. For any of you that might live in that area, what are my prospects of
finding a little acreage (3-5 acres) within a 30-45 minute commute of the
I485/Tryon Street area that would accommodate a couple of towers?

and

2. I did see one home on 3 acres that was of some interest, but has a
high-tension power line tower behind it, which is within 1/4 mile. Not
having ever experienced the results of a situation like this personally,
and not having had any way to check it out while I was there, what might
the onions by of those of you who have first hand knowledge of what might
be expected relative to noise issues?

Tnx in advance for any help I can get!!
