Steve has some very good points here. I think the xyl gets the bad
rap a lot of the time for her feelings. If your xyl makes these
decisions for you, then you need to respect her answers. On the
otherhand, if you jointly decide matters, perhaps some friendly
persuading is in order. The xyl CAN compromise.......
I actually heard a bit of wisdom on 75M one night. A bunch of guys
were whining about how there xyl disapproved of this antenna, or
that mobile, or wouldn't let them buy this rig or that amp. Just
cry-babying about their misfortune and laying it at the xyl's
doorstep, when one guy popped up and said "I just bought a brand
new rig for $3,000, right after I bought her a $5,000 diamond
ring". Now there's a guy that has his act together and figured
things out.
