As I recall, he did start to panic a bit before somebody grabbed a pair
of scissors.  Too bad it was in the days before video cameras.

(in case anyone thinks this is off-topic, although he wasn't a ham, he
was an antenna engineer at Hughes Aircraft in Culver City, CA).
