Has anybody made a direct comparison of an all band vertical with traps to
any of the screwdriver type antennas in a ground mounted situation? I am
wondering how one of the screwdriver type (and I am sure they will vary
among different makes) would be an option to take along on a trip instead of
an all band vertical. This would be a ground mounted situation using
radials. I know they are physically short compared to a full size one,
especially from 30m on down the band. Any info would be appreciated. Please
reply direct. If this is an old question that has been run through the mill
