I don't see what the big deal is with respect to handling charges. As long
as
a vendor lets you know up front that they are tacking on a handling charge,
then you have the option to go somewhere else. I use several vendors that
have minimum charges. When dealing with them, I make sure my orders are
big enough to meet the minimum. Also, it is also very common for vendors
to provide price breaks for larger quanities of a particular. This is
another
way of factoring in handling overhead.
