Hi Carlo,
in lot of flats in mansions, there exists so called "ventilating chimneys"
(do not know exact English word) to ventilate out humid air from a kitchen.
Several years ago I used such a "chimney" to pass coaxial cable from the top
of 7 storey building into my flat at first storey. Maybe such a chimney
exists in your apartment as well.
