In my opinion, the AB-577 is not stiff enough without guys, even if the
first 20 feet are bracketed. Each section is about five feet in length, and
they are connected with circular metal spring clips. Even without a load on
top, a very strong wind will likely bend the 30 feet of tubing above the
house enough to pop one or more of the spring clips.
