Hello again All, I am looking for some help / suggestions on the best way to dig a 4 by 4 by 8 foot deep hole for my new tower base. Is the old Armstrong method best or would a backhoe be best?? Will a backhoe disturb the earth around the hole?? Hi Ted, If the backhoe is available gofor it. I dug my 4X4X6 hole iin a few hours. It helped to own the backhoe. That was five years ago and have gone through at least one tornado of 150+ mph winds. So far as the dimensions follow the manufacturers recommendations. Good Luck, Howard...K2HK _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself with MSN Messenger 6.0 -- download now! http://www.msnmessenger-download.com/tracking/reach_general _______________________________________________ See: http://www.mscomputer.com for "Self Supporting Towers", "Wireless Weather Stations", and lot's more.
