Well, I tell you -- when a topic is going well, I prefer to get a duplicate, direct copy, because the list server can often get far enough behind to scramble the sequence of a hot-and-heavy discussion. The Delete button is right there on the screen.


As for embarrassment, how would you like to be the guy who accidentally posted a message to a big list that began:

"Hey Bob, great to see you on the reflector again. I had lost your e-mail address when I moved out after Elizabeth and I separated. Life has been pretty rough since then...."

[this really happened]
