And then, there was the hydraulically powered "screwdriver" style mobile ...
without the screwdriver ...Antec?  Like the Webster BandSpanner, with blue
coil cover ... I often thought that I could make a nice multi-band antenna
dipole .. 2 of them back to back ..  You used windshield washer fluid for
the hydraulics, because of the low freezing point.  Water could freeze and
ruinicate the aerial.
Hmmm ..   that get some idears goin'!

AS I recall, back in the late 60's or early 70's there
were some pictures in QST showing a 4 element yagi
that used air pressure/vacuum to extend or retract the
element ends. Think it was built be a ZL station.
