How much hangover are you going to have? I've had luck with bending the
offending elements 90 degrees so they hang straight down INSIDE your
property
line. The best method for custom bending them is to fill them with sand and
then they'll bend without kinking. And the best part is that the DX can't
tell
the difference.

If I remember correctly from my grad school course in real estate, this is
an 'air rights' issue. You own them vertically above your property. Or
your neighbor does, in this case. Overhang is a no-no, unless you have an
agreement with the neighbor...and God help you if he sells.
Steve's technique of bending the elements works. I had to do this with
my T8 lpda, to allow the longest element to clear a tree. I believe that
I folded down 30" on each end. Didn't seem to affect the performance.
(but I didn't do a before and after gain & f/b measurement, either. It took
power, and seemed to have reasonable pattern, and that was acceptable.)
