I have a double cam type lock that hooks to the cable and then put it under 
its working tension using a come along.
That means a good solid anchor is needed as I'm pulling 400#, or 600# 
depending on the size.  As the cam lock damages the cable where it's used I 
atache it just beyond where I'll be cutting the cable.
