1400 lbs is significantly lower than the 3/16' galvanized wire rope sold by 
McMaster Carr.  Their 3/16" is rated at 4200 lb!!!  Don't buy that stuff at 
HD, just go to McMaster-Carr, call them and place your order.  You'll have 
it at your door in 48 hours and for less $$$
