Hi Bill,
I have had the A743 40m kit on an old ATB-34 for probably over 5 years
now with no problems. The support rope that came with the add-on wasn't
long enough so I used the Dacron UV resistant rope from The Wireman. I
haven't looked closely for a while, but it seems to be holding up fine
to the sun and smog here in Los Angeles. I don't remember which size I
used but probably the 1/8" stuff.
