Assuming the base is properly laced with rebar, it seems to me that it 
might be just as much work to get it out of the hole fractured as 
intact.  Either way, you'd either remove it in one piece or have to cut 
it up anyway.

By the way, depending upon how brittle the concrete is (or saturated 
with moisture), dry ice or liquid nitrogen might be helpful to crack 
it.  I've been told that it is sometimes used in wells to increase the 
density of microfractures in rock surrounding the well shaft.
