I don't like using barrel connectors and adding two PL-259's or other
connector in line. To me it is adding a potential source of a problem at the
most inopportune time.

I use the ICE 360/380 brackets from ICE. Not sure if still available.
Probably can make your own.
For the 7/8" hardline I used a Polyphaser low inductance grounding kit for
the shield. When I got mine the strap was SS.
After using them for 17 years I took them apart to check. Shields are still
shiny new.
