Great point Don! I use the Ross Radio Lawn Staple Anchor Pins on my homebrew
30 meter vertical and they work great. My lawnmower glides right over the
top of the insulated wire radials with ease. Why make it hard when solutions
already exist!

Why not use galvanized pins? Use insulated wire and the galvanic
action you're considering is moot.
