I don't know of any store that doesn't ask for ID on Visa or other CC
purchases over $50. Only recently did they quit checking on purchases
under that. Visa, etc.
I don't even sign mine. Instead I wrote right on it to "check ID". You
can also expect to check the 3 digit code too.
