Mike,

I am not sure if you are intending to operate horizontal with an antenna on
it, or just testing the rotator on its side?

Like it was said, it will operate on its side, at least for testing
purposes. Bit, I don't think the system was designed to operate horizontal.
If it does work on its side, you have to do to something to keep water from
entering. It won't last a season if water enters.
