Hello Allen:

I have eight HyTowers here. Four have been up for 23 years. I suggest you
make the base slightly larger - by 6 inches - every dimension. The base is
so small that rebar is not needed. Six bag mix is strong enough for this
installation.

Tim K3LR

Subject: [TowerTalk] Hy-Gain 18HT Advice

Planning to install a Hy-Gain 18HT soon and need some advice:

1. Is one yard of concrete (as per the instruction manual) sufficient?
2. Should I add any rebar to the standard base?
3. Is 2300 PSI concrete good enough, or if not, what is recommended?

Thanks, Allen N5XZ
