Hi Chris,
That's a heck of a lot of wind. I would ask SteppIR for the "new" wind load
specs for the DB36. They have several pages of information on the beam listing
LOTS of specs that are very informative. Among that information you will see
that the paper specs far exceed the 55G paper specs for that sort of wind.
I've seen MUCH MUCH worse survive, so not sure if it is a concern for you, but
thought I should mention it. Otherwise I think SteppIR makes an awesome
product, and they get out amazingly. I've been treated very well by their team
and tech support when I had some issues with my DB-11.
I can't say for sure on the rotator, but with that kind of wind and that size
of beam I'd be thinking very hard about a K0XG ring rotator. Whatever you pick
it is going to have to be a big dog, and when rotators get big they usually
slow down, so keep rotation speed in mind as well if that matters to you.
