Again...From Mobil's website;
While Mobil SHC 600 Series are generally compatible with mineral oil
based products, a mixture may detract from their performance. Consequently it
is recommended that before changing a system to one of Mobil SHC 600
Series products, it should be thoroughly cleaned out and flushed to achieve the
maximum performance benefits.-Mike-So, you won't blow up, gum up, or screw up
your gearbox by mixing the dino-oil with the synthetic. It's just that the
more dino-oil that's left, the less it acts like synthetic oil.

.....You want to purge as much as you can of the old gear lube. The synthetic
lube is not compatible with the original gear lube.
