Thanks, but my question was not about tubing or masts. My question was
about GRC vs. IMC for mounting pipes.

Does anyone have any information why one vs. the other should be used?

Thanks,

towers and why. For example, when mounting a dish antenna, a vertical pipe
is typically installed.

The reason you can use pipe (as opposed to tubing) on commercial towers
is that there is no bending moment on the antennas unlike amateur masts that
stick straight up and many times has multiple antennas mounted on it.

LXC Recommendation: When installing multiple antennas on a mast,
alternate on which side they're mounted. In other words, if one antenna is
mounted on the left side of the mast - mount the next on the right side of
the mast. If you look at the force vectors, you'll see that they can largely
cancel each other out.
