P.S.

It appears Arrow's current pricing on the big clamps is $15.62, still less
expensive than others. They must have had a deep-discounted sale back in
December.

I agree with N1BUG. I recently placed two separate Arrow orders. In
December, I ordered two Fair-Rite #31 0431177081 "Big Clamp" ferrites.
Small quantity price is $8.27 ea. Mouser and Newark is $17.13 ea.. Amidon
is $19.50 ea. Incredibly, Arrow quickly shipped the heavy ferrites for
free.

The second order was earlier this week. I placed an order for some Schottky
diodes and LM358 op-amps. Total was just over $3, but they shipped express
for free. Either they broke even or lost on this order. Possibly Arrow is
aggressively going after Mouser, Newark, Allied, and Digikey. As long as
Arrow keep this pricing and shipping strategy, they will be my go-to source
for components.

Arrow has consistently been the cheapest source of Fair-Rite cores in small
quantity for me. They are currently offering the core in question at $3.84
each with free overnight shipping on orders of $20 or more. I think that
deal is going to be hard to beat if you need
6+ cores or need other items too. There is a price break for buying
10 or more.

Paul
