Just something else to worry about:

Buried in the boilerplate of contest rules is something to the
effect that "antennas must be connected by wires", whatever
that means.  Can the "wires" be CAT5 network cables?
I guess "bring the samples back by network" excludes a wireless
network (wi-fi, etc.)



never thought about that.. would DC power wires qualify? Do they have to be connected all the time (thinking about folks who game the battery power rules at FD, with two batteries, one running the radio, one sitting on the charger connected to the wall, then swapping when the radio battery goes dead)


You could use WiFi over Coax, too, I suppose.. At least it's still RF "on the wire"
