I picked up this chestnut from you kind folks here on TowerTalk years ago:
When clipping in with a positioning belt, LOOK, LISTEN, FEEL. LOOK at where
you're clipping into - the D ring and not a tower member or other improper
anchor. LISTEN for the click of the hook closing onto with itself. This will
avoid a partial hookup to the anchor point. FEEL that the hook gate has opened
and closed properly.
One final caution that I believe I first used when I was teaching my children
how to drive a car: While on the road (or on a tower), there are no such
things as "accidents."
Let's be careful out there. Think.

I always hate to hear of someone falling. So sad.
Is there a report on the accident anywhere (a link) other than the Go Fund Me
page?
Thanks and Stay Safe,

And you would know this how ? What a major assumption on your part.

Not good. Would the owners homeowner insurance cover this?
Sadly it sounds like the climber was using outdated and poorly maintained gear.
