On the Rohn 65 at W3PP (SK) two flat plates were used for rotor and bearing.
The mast held a 5-element 46-foot boom 20-meter yagi. at  130 feet. The flat
plates were about 1/2" thick aluminum as I recall. The rotor plate overlapped
the horizontal rungs and was u-bolted to them. The upper bearing plate had
angle aluminum on the edges for reinforcement and these were bolted to the top
horizontal rungs. Dallas likely made these up himself.
There's a photo showing these when we removed the towers (with crane) Dec. 18,
2010 on my site under "Rohn 65": http://www.aa1k.us/
An aluminum cross arm with saddle clamp was used to hold the mast when the
rotor needed to be removed.
