May be too late for this June, but I sure like the concept. It would
however be fairly easy to attempt for this June's contest by limiting the
contest to just ABCD to see if the number of entries is affected.

Doing so would also allow all current logging programs to continue to be
utilized.

June Contest Proposal

Name: June VHF/UHF Contest

Ten Categories:

I. VHF; 50, 144, 222, 432.
Okay, 432 is not VHF, but this follows current rig
design and tradition.

V1. SO QRP
V2. SO LP
V3. SO HP
V4. Multi
V5. Rover

II. UHF; 902 and above.

U1. SO QRP
U2. SO LP
U3. SO HP
U4. Multi
U5. Rover

Rules.

1. You can enter one category, or one V category
plus one U category. This will enable multi-rig
stations to operate as before, only with results split
into two categories.

2. There will be no combined scores calculated,
posted, printed, webbed, awarded, or discussed.
This is so that operators with equipment only
for a V category will not be discouraged.

3. ...

Note: "Limited" is not good term for any category.
