Gang,

I am workng on improving my upcoming rover and qrp/p operations. One thing
that would be nice to know is which of the DC-Daylight multimodes SAVE the
power level for EACH band like the TS-2000 does. It can be set to run at
10W on 6, 10W on 2, 10W on 432 and 10W on 1.2G. For a qrp/p station this
is great! The Icom 706 uses a menu to vary the power by percentage. This
would stink for qrp/p since you'd have to set it for 10% on 6, 20% on 2 and
50% on 432 to get 10W out on each band. Or can you SAVE these setting per
band?

And how about the Yaesu FT100D?

Is the TS2000 the ONLY rig that lets you set power by band?

The rigs in question are the IC 746, FT 100D, 847, 897, 857 ?? (And when
will the 800 series madness stop? Does anyone REALLY know how the 857 and
100D are different?)

This is a non-isssue for a rover, but a challenge to a /p station.

TNX es 73,
Mark K2QO/r or /p
