didn't know about the underhood KW beside the 450 HP.. or 400 kw + 1  ....

Greetings all,

A few more tidbits about Hans perhaps before you met him.

Hans got a German NSU motor scooter for transportation to university, and
decided it would be a hoot to go mobile with it.  So he put a small tube
rig on it and behind him strapped to the spare tire rim was my Master
Mobile Slim Jim all band base loaded whip, a 19" coil with an 8 foot whip
above and called CQ using the above subject line.  Did that antenna ever
whip around too!

After graduation he bought a Ford Mustang and put a Heathkit 1KW linear
under the hood ( the poor battery).  He sure had fun.
