1.) They create activity on some of my favorite bands! It's 
not like I can call CQ any evening on 222 or 432 and find 
stations to work.

2.) Although I do enjoy the multiband contests, it's nice to 
have single band events without the constant pressure of 
band hopping.

3.) The sprints provide a great opportunity to test 
equipment changes prior to a major contest or repairs 
following one!
