a pre-amp is a must for that band, but im a little worried about 125 ft
of coax on 1.2
thats a major run of cable for RG-8 type
have you looked at the losses at those freq for that cable?
according to the times microwave chart LMR-400 at 900meg at 100 feet is
3.9db loss..
and at 1500mhz 5.10 db loss..
that means at 1.2 you could be loosing more then 1/2 the power before it
gets to the antenna
if im wrong someone pse step in..
but a preamp even at a 40 ft run of LMR-400 cable that i have made the
difference for the weak ones
