There is still a Contest Advisory Committee, but they are treated like
children by the Board of Directors: they are to talk only when they are asked
to speak.? They are not allowed to initiate ideas.? They can only discuss ideas
at the request of the BOD.
If the BOD were to decide to have a distance based alternative scoring system,
they would likely first ask the CAC or VUAC (is that still around?) to study
the idea, and report back.
