Especially if 6m and 2m E's open up to either coast. This is the ONLY
way Colorado gets into the serious rankings, but it's happened often
enough lately during June contest, that it's worth hunting for!

Thunderstorms (you don't have ANY of those in Oklahoma, right? BIG
GRIN) also almost always set up in lines that create REALLY interesting
tropo effects from OK to the east if you're at the end of one of the
lines with some nice high gain antennas...

W0KVA bounced THROUGH the E-cloud centered somewhere out Oklahoma way
last year, and probably through some ducting beyond that, to talk to
Pensacola, FL on 2m, and we worked the OK panhandle on 222 CW... after
calling CQ for an hour straight when things were getting "hot" down that
direction, from near Limon, CO... last June.

Waaaay too much fun. :-)

We'll be operating for the first time ever with a big amp on 6m this
year... I'm sure we're bound to melt something and find out ALL the
possible ways for our 6m station to interfere with EVERYTHING else in
the comm trailer this year. Well, that's if our new M2 6m beam arrives
after the distributor shipped it to the wrong state, and their
salespeople there SOLD it without checking why they'd received it...
(sigh)...

New antenna, new amp...on the same band... it's bound to be an
invitation for Murphy to visit, I'm sure! Of course, that's half the
fun...
