4 Meters would be awesome! Thought I guess it would take clearing up TV
spectrum issues first---and we'd be limited to transverters (expect for
that new Icom rig) for awhile, but it would sure make for some
interesting propagation.

propagation" band would hurt the activity on the higher VHF/UHF bands.
Kind of hard to argue that point. I know it is real obvious when 6
opens, 2 and above activity dies.
I hate to put forth an argument against adding 10 meters, as it is one
of my favorite bands. It would be a pain to add much antenna to the
rover for 10, but I believe I would still give it a good shot if it
was available. I would probably have to just go with a vertical whip
at the top of the mast...
Another change I would like to see, which is probably even less likely
to happen, is adding 4 meters (70 Mhz) for North America VHF ops.
I've never had the opportunity to try 4 meters, but would love to
give it a shot. Guess I may have to take a trip to Europe:-)

Really like Jack's suggestion.
With the exception of few years out of a decade, 10 Meters performs
more like 6 Meters than an HF band anyway. Another factor is that
most
solar scientists are predicting the next solar cycle to be another
with
very low activity, adding weight to the argument that adding 10
Meters
to the VHF Contests might be a good idea.
Despite the efforts of folks like Ten-Ten, there is little
activity on
10 Meters in the months without e-skip.
