Kim,  I use Inrad 500 filters in both IFs in my 746 but just for CW - haven't
tried it on RTTY so don't have any experience there.  There is some signal
attenuation, I don't remember how much, but some is to be expected
according to Inrad. Let me tell you they really work well.
