One of my computers is a 7 yr old Gateway P5-166, upgraded to 48K RAM and
two 20 GB HDDs (came with 16 MB RAM and 1.2 GB HDD). The HDD's came with
software that allowed them to be used to WIN98SE (EZ BIOS). I used that
computer with WL, SO2R RTTY, with DX Telnet spots, while reading email and
surfing during slow periods. This past weekend that computer was part of a
multi-two effort on a network with my newer Dell running WIN2000SP2 - It all
worked great, including FSK RTTY and PTT via com ports. You sure don't need
a super hot computer to use WL effectively. And you can certainly upgrade
your HDDs past 1.2 GB with WIN98 for sure (not sue about 95). Good luck.
