Richard,

Not sure why this message got reposted. But as I said in response to the 
last posting (8jan02)

Yes, you can manually put the FT847 into CW LSB mode and use the Narrow CW 
filter. BUT the FT847 reports to WriteLog (if you are using Rig Control) 
that it is in the CW mode, NOT in the LSB mode and thus WriteLog wants to 
send CW not AFSK.

So bottom line is still you either get rig control or a cw filter but not 
both. And it is useless for RTTY in SSB. Too bad
