Are you using the dxt2wl or the spot duper programs. These are running in
DOS VM and can take a LOT of CPU time and possibly cause the sputtering. The
priority can be changed to help alleviate the problem. If you are only
running DXTELNET then that is a windows app and would not be the cause.
