Don...
I had the pleasure of being a guest operator a very nice station with
some really great antennas this past weekend, and yes I'm still grinning
ear to ear. He was running both 2Tone and MMTTY, but I'm not that
convinced that 2Tone kicks MMTTY's butt... It has it's place yes and
under some conditions it does a very good job at picking out the week
ones. Is it worth being able to run both, you bet...! I'm convinced
that it is more than well worth running both 2Tone and MMTTY and the
combination does kick butt...! The combo is so good that I think that
for WriteLog to stay competitive as contest software, it must be able to
run both...

This might be possible, but not practical. You'd be staring at the 2Tone
contest the whole time because it kicks MMTTY butt about
95% of the time on weak signals, deep fades and in the presence of strong
nearby signals.
I am going to try it anyway.

Would it be possible to run 2Tone as a stand alone decoder without integration
with WL? My thinking is this might be a way to
compare the decode capabilities of 2Tone side by side with the MMTTY plug-in
windows to evaluate performance. I really don't want
to take a whack at surmounting the N1MM learning curve again.

I hope so too as I would suspect most other Writelog users would like to
see the better decoding and less resource hungy 2tone implemented into
Writelog
Maybe it should be used as a replacement for the current bundled decoder
which is now very long in the tooth
So how about it Writelog develpers .... how about implementing 2Tone as
the standard shipped with software?

Well maybe someone with programming expertise will have some time to
write
a new plugin. It would be a great addition.

It's not likely that 2Tone can be used with Writelog. 2Tone emulates
the XMMT.ocx interface for MMTTY while the current MMTTY plug-in uses
the original shared memory interface in MMTTY.exe. Using 2Tone would
require a completely new "plug-in" for WriteLog.

Anyone figured out how to run 2Tone with Writelog yet?? It would be a
