This morning I went through the micro Keyer ii and Writelog set up
and got only as far as page three, setting up the MIsc. tab in MMTTY.
The TX Port is set for Sound and the other 2 choices are grayed out
and I am unable to change them to COM-TXD (FSK) for the TX Port. So I
am stuck there. Weird.

Go to the TX tab in MMTTY and set the FSK & PTT port before going to
the MISC tab. If you have not defined an FSK Port, MMTTY only allows
"Sound".

Rob,

Sorry you are having problems but it sounds more like an MMTTY problem
rather than a Writelog problem.

I am having a weird problem here and believe it is also an MMTTY rather
than a Writelog problem. Everything is fine if I use the external
keypad with the micro Keyer ii. I worked VP8GSI with that combo on RTTY
and CW but when I attempt to send RTTY from the computer keyboard within
Writelog I apparently am transmitting a distorted signal. As the
external keypad with the MicroKeyer ii does not allow me to send call
sign or contest numbers things get too cumbersome contesting.

But at least I am inside and warm. It's going down to about 0 F tonight
here on Long Island.

I am having a problem with WriteLog in RTTY mode. I have it set with
AFC and ATC unchecked yet whenever I hit the “enter” key to log a QSO,
the AFC gets invoked. I literally have to cursor down during my
confirmation message, after having logged the QSO, and click on the
AFC button then quickly go back up to the entry window and put the
cursor in the call field and click. How do I get it to stop invoking
AFC every time I log a QSO?

Before I noticed what was going on, I would have a lot of trouble
decoding responses because the Mark frequency would shift from 915 up
and down during RX. By doing what I’ve been doing, I’m getting more
consistent decoding but I’m way busier than I need to be with the
touch pad.
