I had an FT-890 for a short while. Basically a good radio, better than an
FT-747/757/840 not quite as good as an FT-920 or FT-1000 (receiver wise).
Stock SSB filter is wimpy and the upgrade is expensive and difficult to
install. Not a good radio for transverter use or digital modes. W8KX
