Bill,
I used these VA3YP sockets in the SB200 overhaul for the GI7b. They are
real works of machine art.
I would really recommend these in the case a guy has a frequent need to pull
tubes (as was my case) - or for anyone who wants the best socket out there.
There is an argument that they are overkill. But I think overkill is
usually underrated!

I see that sockets for both of these tubes are available from VA3YP, who
builds them himself. Expensive, but probably worth it. I have not used them
myself. Available on eBay.
