Hi all,
This will be my first big project like this, I'm in the beginning of start
my first project with an amplifier, and have some questions.
I'll start from the Anode tank first then working around that, I'm thinking
to make an tank like this one (
http://home.earthlink.net/~wd7s/images/photo2a.jpg ) with the
dimensions 7.874" Wide by 11.81" Deep, the tube will be 1.97" from each
side and back of the tank, will there be any problem with that?
I'll use an similar socket to W4ZT made by me, very close to this one (
http://www.pa3gcv.nl/Equipment/gs35b/imageframe.html?5.jpg ) except that
the plate where the grid ring will rest will be 0.393" thick aluminum, and
the side bars will be 0.393" thick to, that will give good ground, I think?
The blower will be put in the filament compartment blowing air thru the
socket up to the Anode and to the tank, according to this table (
http://gs35b.com/gs35b/index.html ) the required is 88.3CFM minimum and
with this table ( http://www.realhamradio.com/GS35B_Amp_Page.htm ) Anode
required 88.3CFM, Cathode 1.8CFM, and Grid 10.6CFM, so the total of all the
tube will be around 120CFM, I thinking for blower to use one Airflow 45CTL
that has 80 L/s ( 169.50CFM ) at 70Pa (Pascal) static back pressure, or
the 52BTXL that has 100 L/s (212CFM) at 150Pa or (237.50CFM) at the same
70Pa, the datasheet is here (
https://www.airflow.com/productdetail_/pg_SA00/71655702F )just download the
PDF, will one of this be enough?
I think for now it's just this.
