It was almost 30 years ago that I found an annoying 2-meter noise source 
on a pole adjacent to the control tower at our local airport. it was 
necessary to go up to 440 MHz (AM mode) and I've since used 900 and 1200 
MHz yagis on a few difficult MV sources.

FWIW, that was one complaint that got answered QUICKLY.
