I am revisiting the modeling of my entire station in NEC-2, in particular
on 80 and (planned) 160. The tower that I plan to shunt feed has 3 yagis
on it, each of which has insulated elements. In order to have the model
represent the electrical length of the tower with reasonable accuracy, I'm
sure I need to include the booms of the yagis. It seems to me that the
yagi elements, though not electrically connected to the tower, may be
excited to some degree by the field of the low-band antennas.

Should I include both booms and elements in the model? Booms only? If I
include both, should I "position" the booms (in the model) so that they are
an inch or two separated from the elements, to simulate the insulated
mountings?
