Ages ago, K4ISV recommended reinforcing the boom of the KLM 40M4 by
inserting a smaller diameter tube inside the boom. Has anyone done this?
My 40M4 has swaged boom joints. If I make the insert small enough diameter
to pass through the joints, the tube will not be in contact with the inside
of the boom, except at the joints. Will this strengthen or stiffen the
boom?
