This is a bit OT but as long as we've gone this far<:-))
You will discover a lot of those "rable rousers" are sporting Extra calls
too. <:-))

I flew over 20 the first year of the program. Since then I was chairman of
Chapter 1093's "Kids to Oshkosh" for quite a few years.

They are too hard to ignore when you are trying to stay alive, so you talk
about what ever is on your mind at the time. I usually talk about antennas,
but I was in mid sentence one day when I had to stand on the brakes. When I
came to a stop and relaxed I heard lots of laughter on the repeater. It
seems as some one had apparently referred to some one elses incestous
habbits, canine ancestory, and unnatural habits ... Not that it made it to
the repeater mind you. (that is about as clean as I can say it and still
get the idea across)

I have taught novice and general classes for years, but not lately.
You will find that 98% of the work in any club, or group is done by 2 or 3%
of the people in the group.
But I agree, we need to educate and guide the new comers to help them become
good citizens on the air. After all, it takes the same kind of approach in
society.

We'll bring 'em over and let them do my tower work for starters? Now that
would eliminate any that weren't serious. Unfortunately it'd also probably
get a few who were.
