Have you tried cranking one of these up or down?

There is considerable effort involved, and cranking down is not any easier
than cranking up.
The arm motion required is a little unusual. It takes me several
"sessions" at the crank to
take my UST455 up or down. It is not overloaded. I would say your plan is
not practical
unless you are in unusually good shape and are always home (and awake) when
there is
much wind.

I suspect you are planning a long mast length above the tower, in order to
mount your
second beam. Remember that this *substantially* changes the effective wind
loading.
