Thanks to all those who replied.I need to sit down with HFTA and do some
learning.I picked 40 and 80 feet thru using antennas at those heights.I
enjoy 10 and 15 meters but 20 meters is where I want to be the strongest. The
handbook says 30-45 feet of spacing changes the gain by 10ths of DB's.
I think I'm going to wait until I can find/afford some Rohn 45(xyl needs new
car and I hate car loans). It seems Rohn 25 is maybe OK but we live on the
Niagra Escarpment which is high ground that runs from Lake Winnebago to the
tip of Door county. In short we get lots of wind, good for all the wind
turbines out here but bad for antennas and towers.Besides I've always wanted
to try a rotatable dipole for 80 meters.Maybe I'll go with Rohn 55 and put 3
Skyhawks up,40,80 and 120 feet with a rotatable dipole on the top!! Gregg
